An architectural table composed of oak + stone, designed with restraint.

The Antwerp Dining Table is framed in solid French white oak and topped with an inlaid beige travertine surface. The composition yields a commanding yet composed silhouette, suited to both dining and office settings. Its proportions emphasize weight and stability, allowing the grain of the French white oak to read clearly from every angle. The flush-set travertine introduces a restrained shift in texture creating a clean dialogue with the surrounding oak.

When considering this piece, think of the French white oak as passionate, expressive, reactive to its environment, and  occasionally unpredictable. If you’d rather not weather the drama, our the white oak pieces from our Ojai Collection offer a calmer, more stable partnership.

Material Note:
The solid French white oak is sealed with a natural oil that allows the wood to breathe and respond to its environment. Variations in humidity may result in natural movement, including small cracks or shifts in the grain. These changes are expected and reflect the living character of solid wood, contributing to the piece’s evolving surface over time.

Frequently Asked Questions

Dust

  • Regularly dust your table with a soft dry cloth to prevent dust buildup, which can scratch the wood over time.

Spills

  • Wipe up spills with a damp cloth to prevent stains, and promptly dry the surface to the best of your ability. Avoid abrasive cleaners and prolonged exposure to moisture.

Use Coasters and Placemats

  • The French oak finish is natural and may develop watermarks. Protect your table from moisture, heat damage, and scratches by using coasters and placemats under glasses, plates, and hot dishes.

Maintain the Finish

  • We recommend using Odie's Oil, a natural wax-like substance, once a year to maintain the look of the wood tables. It's easy to apply, non-toxic, and provides an additional layer of protection. Follow the manufacturer's instructions and buff with a soft cloth for best results.

Dust

  • Regularly dust the travertine surface with a soft dry cloth to prevent buildup that can dull the finish over time.

Spills

  • Wipe up spills promptly with a soft damp cloth and dry the surface thoroughly. Avoid abrasive cleaners and prolonged exposure to moisture. When using a cleaning product, choose one specifically formulated for natural stone.

Use Coasters and Placemats

  • Travertine is a natural porous and may develop watermarks. Protect your table from moisture, heat damage, and scratches by using coasters and placemats under glasses, plates, and hot dishes.

Avoid Acids

  • Travertine is a natural stone and can etch when exposed to acidic substances such as citrus, vinegar, or wine. Clean only with a mild, pH-neutral soap.

Our solid wood furniture is crafted from natural materials and may exhibit variation in grain, color, and texture. These characteristics are inherent to real wood and are not considered defects.

Because solid wood responds to its environment, it may expand and contract with changes in temperature and humidity. This natural movement can result in slight gaps, cracks, warping, or subtle variations in the finish over time. These occurrences are expected and part of the material’s character.

Thicker solid wood components, particularly pieces 2 inches or more in thickness, may require time to acclimate to the humidity of their new environment. If you prefer a more uniform and dimensionally stable surface, we recommend selecting pieces made with wood veneer.

We take great care in constructing each piece for longevity and durability; however, natural wood may require periodic maintenance to preserve its appearance.

Please note that the wood used in each product may vary slightly from samples or photography due to the inherent qualities of the material. Accordingly, no representation or guarantee is made regarding the exact color, luster, or appearance of finishes.

We recommend avoiding direct exposure to sunlight. Prolonged exposure to sunlight can cause fading, discoloration, and cause the solid wood to dry out.

Solid wood finished with oil will naturally evolve over time. To refresh and protect the surface, we recommend reapplying Odie’s Oil about once a year, or as needed depending on wear.

Yes. Assembly is required; however, it is included with our white glove delivery service, which is standard for all of our products.
