Description

The Shinto Dining Chair was designed as an ode to the traditional Japanese Torii Gate found at the entrances of Shinto shrines. The chair invites you to pause, find peace in the moment and come together with friends and family around the dining table.

The thick 1/4 inch leather used is reminiscent of the leather you find in vintage pieces, but can't seem to find anymore these days. Enjoy the piece as its untreated leather seat patinas with age with no chemical finish and molds to the wood frame over time.

The thick leather, along with the handcrafted frame and a curved backrest, offer exceptional comfort and an eye-catching sense of style.

5 Year Warranty

We use high-quality, full-grain vintage leather that is not treated with synthetic finishes. This allows the natural oils from your body to create a unique patina over time, sealing the leather in its own beautiful way. The look and feel of this slow forming patina cannot be replicated with synthetic finishes.

Shipping & Returns

Shipping: We charge $195 per furniture order, which includes white glove delivery. This fee may increase if multiple shipments are required, if the order's weight significantly increases, or if it includes any of our more delicate marble pieces. For smaller items, such as side tables, there is a $50 fee for curbside delivery. Accessories are shipped at no additional charge.

Returns: Furniture returns will be issued a refund less original shipping and handling charges in addition to a restocking fee from the original product price. Return requests will be accepted within 30 days of the delivery.

How should I care for and maintain the leather on the Shinto Counter Stool?

To care for the leather on the Shinto Counter Stool, simply wipe it with a soft, damp cloth to remove any dirt or spills. Avoid using harsh chemicals or cleaners, as these may damage the leather. If you wish to apply a sealant to the leather we recommend using Leather Hero, as it has been tested and recommended by our team for preserving the natural state of the leather while providing protection and developing a unique patina over time.

Will direct sunlight damage/fade this piece?

We recommend avoiding direct exposure to sunlight. Prolonged exposure to sunlight can cause fading and discoloration. As most of our pieces use solid wood, prolonged exposure can cause the wood to dry out.

No, the Shinto Counter Stool comes fully assembled and ready to use.
