The Shou Sugi Ban Coffee Table is meticulously crafted using the ancient Japanese technique of charring wood in a manner of sealing it.
Inspired by the reverence for nature, our team applies fire to the surface of a solid slab of Samoan Wood, creating a strikingly beautiful burned effect that enhances the table's texture and depth. Through a repetitive process of charring away the soft wood, leaving the harder grain standing, the exterior is refined, resulting in a finish that captivates the senses.
Handcrafted with precision and passion, our Shou Sugi Ban Coffee Table stands as a testament to unparalleled craftsmanship and unwavering attention to detail. Its organic silhouette and textured finish add elegenace any upscale interior, adding a touch of refinement and intrigue to your living space.
Cleaning Instructions: After the third round of charring, the wood is sealed with a protective layer of clear matte polyurethane (PU). To preserve the integrity of the finish, it’s important not to damage the seal while cleaning. Gently clean the surface with a damp cloth, carefully dabbing any areas that need attention. Alternatively, you can use a feather duster for regular upkeep.
The tabletops, made from one solid block of wood, are naturally shaped and therefore unique from piece to piece.
Shipping: We charge $195 per furniture order, which includes white glove delivery. This fee may increase if multiple shipments are required, if the order's weight significantly increases, or if it includes any of our more delicate marble pieces. Returns: Furniture returns will be issued a refund less original shipping and handling charges in addition to a restocking fee from the original product price. Return requests will be accepted within 30 days of the delivery.
